The End?

Hey guys

So this is my last email. I've been having kind of a hard time coming to terms with the idea that I won't be a full time missionary anymore but now I'm excited and ready to come home. 

I'll be flying into the Ontario Airport on Friday at 10pm, which will be kinda brutal cause that's 3 AM Brazil time haha. I cordially invite all to attend sacrament meeting with me on March 10th at 9 AM in the pacific sunset building. I will be speaking about my two year mission here in Brazil and would love to see yall. Send me or my mom an email if you want the addy (address).

24 things I've learned in 24 months

1. God loves His children and answers our prayers

2. Jesus Christ lives and His Atonement gives us power

3. The Book of Mormon is the word of God

4. How to flush a toilet with a bucket

5. How to catch a rat

6. How to stand up on a bus

7. How to make cinnamon rolls

8. How to walk down hills without hurting your knees (zig zag technique)

9. How to teach someone the gospel of Jesus Christ in Portuguese 

10. How to cuss someone out in Portuguese (I've never done this but I've heard it quite a few times)

11. How to clap really loud

12. How to listen to someone in need

13. How to cut someone off who's talking too much (Brazilians love to talk)

14. How to deal with difficult people

15. How to ask for forgiveness

16. How to invite someone to be baptized

17. I know the exact lengths of all my ties and can tie all of them perfectly in one try

18. How to get to know new people

19. My missionary purpose (I've said it to well over 6,000 people)

20. How to pray

21. How to avoid talking to drunk people

22. How to do something even when you don't want to or are tired

23. How to love others

24. How to love God

There is so much more but we'll just leave it a that. Serving a mission has been by far the most worthwhile experience of my life.  No one told me it would be easy, and it wasn't. But oh boy was it worth it. I'm so thankful for this opportunity and I exhort anyone who can serve a mission to do it. God will use you to change people's lives and He will change yours too. I have seen firsthand how living the gospel of Jesus Christ brings joy and peace into our lives. Jesus Christ lives and this is His Church.
