When it Rains it Pours
Opa gente,
I hope y'all are doing well and I'd love to hear from you, so if you've got time this week please send me an update!
First of all, last week we had zone conference which was super hype. My mission president is so awesome and even though I can't understand a bit of what he says, I definitely feel the spirit whenever he talks to us. So that was a great boost.
Then this week we had exchanges and I spent the day with Elder Evangelista, who doesn't speak any english. So that was actually the first time that I didn't have a comp who spoke English. It actually went pretty well, I definitely know enough to communicate with a comp and get the work done. I just couldn't really joke around with him like with Elder Braz. And if you know me, you know that joking around is pretty important to me.
Now the subject of this line isn't about the rain but about all the blessings we had these last 2 weeks! We currently have 2 people on date for baptism and 3 people preparing themselves for baptism! These people are so great and I know that the gospel is gonna bless their lives so much so I'm so excited for them to make this first covenant with God!
One of these guys is named Cleiton and he's a beast. He is trying to quit smoking so please pray for him to have the strength to overcome that!
Fun stuff:
We met the other companionships in our district in the city between all of us called Boa Esperança for district council. We had it at a members house who was the swetest old lady ever. She ended up driving us back to our area afterwards too! On the way she said she wanted to take us to the "praia" (beach). I was very confused cause our mission is landlocked but it turns out that this city was right by a lake! Just seeing the water made my day and reminded me of home.
At church on Sunday we realized halfway through sacrament that my comp forgot his name tag so after we had to hurry back to our apartment. We borrowed some kids bikes which was so much fun cause going down the hills on the cobblestone roads is almost like mountain biking.
