Ballin' Out

Opa!

The last couple weeks we've been balling out as stated in the title. Just really putting our all in the work. Missionaries know it's literally the best feeling in the world to be in sync with your comp and the ward/branch and have a good teaching group cause usually one (or all) of those areas are lacking and it makes things much more difficult to be happy. But our circumstances don't determine our happiness!

But luckily I'm feeling pretty blessed in all three categories and I'm very happy!

Our friend Lucia got baptized yesterday! She's awesome and very happy! She really wanted to get baptized but is super scared of water. She got really nervous right before but she powered through! As always, despite our best efforts to leave everything prepared way before the baptism, we still had a couple probleminhas but it all worked out 🙅‍♂️

Dope stuff:

One of our friend's family owns a burger place. They gave us free burgers. Best burger I've eaten in Brazil! AND he went to church!

My comp and I threw an activity where we made pancakes for the branch members and their friends. That's is my third time making pancakes for a large group of people here in the mission and I think I'm retired 😴😴

Our branch president is a pizza master and taught us how to make pizza 🍕

This low-key crazy member invited us over to his house and he talked to us about deep doctrine for over an hour. He has a life-size picture of himself on the wall (photo attached below)

Spiritual stuff:

God loves us and gives us families for a reason! Families that are centered on the gospel of Jesus Christ are blessed and happy!

Mosiah 2:41

41 And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it

Only the gospel of Jesus Christ brings everlasting happiness. Although it may be difficult at times and it may seem that prayers are not answered and promised blessings are not given, remember that God's time-line is eternal! All blessings will be given in His timing!

Love you guys!
