Trabalhemos hoje

Hello peoples,

The last two weeks have flown by. I'm very excited because the work has been popping off recently and some of our friends should be baptized next week. There's a recent convert here who was baptized about 2 months ago and she and her sons have already been to the temple twice. She is sharing the gospel with literally EVERYONE so we've been getting a lot of referrals recently.

A few weeks ago while walking on the street some guy stopped us and usked us to pray for him. So we went to his house and taught him about the restoration. This man is about the funniest guy I've taught. At first he told us his name is Luiz, then after a week teaching him he said his name is Meraldo, and now yesterday at church he said his name Beraldo. I have no idea what to believe because he's kind of crazy but he's already come to church 2 times and wants to be baptized so we'll see what happens.

One of my favorite things about Brazil is all the fruit here. There are trees full of mangos, guava, and a delicious sour berry called acerola, just about everywhere you go this time of year. And my comp stops at every single tree he sees to eat all the guava he can. It was pretty fun at first but not so much anymore. Most of the time the guava isn't even good he just eats it cause he can haha. But we're coming to the end of the season and they're a little harder to find. But that doesn't stop him, it just means more time looking for them haha.

Also we've been teaching this dude named Anezio. He's an old guy who is almost deaf but he's got a big drive to learn. He has been coming to church every week since I've been here, so we've been trying our best to teach him. He's a very slow learner and it can get a little difficult at times but he really wants to learn so I'm happy to help. When we teach him he sits right in front of me and my comp, while looking off to his left so we can yell into his right ear. It's a blessing that he can understand me. He actually said he understands me better than my comp because he doesn't talk loud enough kkk. But the best part is he has the cutest dog and his name is Toddynho which is a brand of chocolate milk here. It is the greatest dog name I've ever heard I will 10000% steal that name.

I've been listening to BYU speeches every morning while getting ready in the morning for the past few months and I wanted to share one that I thought was really cool!

After showing Moses all of his infinite creations, God told Moses that his work and glory is to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man (Moses 1:39). We are God's most beloved creation and this talk really shows just how magnificent are the bodies He has given us! It's pretty long but I would say it's worth the listen.

Amo vocês! Até mais!
